International cooperation

Cooperation strengthens existing practices and attitudes, as well as creating new ones. Streets aligned comes out from a comparison between very different realities: although all the organizations have gained experience in the production of tools and updates for educators on LGBITQ+ Gender and Inclusive Education , they are placed in three national contexts that address the Community agenda for LGBTIQ+ inclusion in very different ways.

Context analysis

One of Streets aligned's goals is to create a «sense of urgency»: homobitransphobia, bullying, intolerance are problems that permeate our daily lives , on a par with incomprehension and the removal of otherness, especially in the educational field.

Priorities

The project starts from the analysis and consideration that little has been done to integrate sexual diversity, the critical and theoretical framework and active LGBTIQ+ policies in the training, preparatory and updating curriculum of educators, trainers, animators and teachers. Such perspectives rarely find space in education, especially if of a formal nature: the numerous exceptions in Italy and in Europe are in fact often due to the will of individual schools and/or educational centres, through educational pacts and collaborations with organizations engaged in the fight against intolerance, discrimination and homobitransphobia.
